-Alexei was born a commoner and entered a tournament held by the Empire that earned him a spot in the Imperial Knights.
-This was unheard of as only those of nobility were allowed to join.
-The council had control over the Imperial Knights before he became Commandant.
-His goal was to change how the Empire ran and allow people to be able to do what they want, regardless of their social status. To end the corruption from within the source.
-"Those who are just will lead lives of prosperity." was what he promoted.
Things on this Alexei/most of it headcanon to fill some blanks:
-He is 24 and on his way to becoming a Captain soon.
-Think of him as Flynn in how he generally acts outwardly towards others, polite, friendly, although more serious than Flynn. Being the odd ball in the Knights, he had to be tough as not all of the knights nor the council approve of a commoner in their ranks.
-He hates the council and frowns upon anyone that treats other poorly for no reason, particularly for reasons where it comes to social status. He's indifferent when it comes to the royal family.
-Unlike his older self, his younger self is a little more social and not as distrustful. At least when he was off-duty or talking with various citizens of Zaphias.
-He can be stubborn sometimes, but he tries to pick his fights. He's not exactly top dog where he stands.
-Far more optimistic and not as morbid as his older self when it came to the view of the world. You could say he was more naive.
Appearance
Appearance-wise, he looked more like this when he was younger, ignoring the uniform.
His uniform would appear more like this
